What a beautiful fall it has been! Mary is busier than ever - Fall Festival, Haircut, A new Swing! and the Pumpkin Patch. What fun it all is to see Mary experience all of this for the first time. ENJOY!

First REAL Haircut - I think I was 13 when I first got my haircut in a salon, but I'm not as good at it as my mom was, so we'll pay the $8 :)

There's a big white ash tree in the back yard - we call it "Mary's Tree" and has the perfect branch for a swing. We planned and planned for one to go up there and finally it happen! We're pretty sure it wouldn't pass safety inspection at any public park, but Brian rigged it so it goes SO high. Once I stood there and pushed her on the swing for 30 min straight. She looks up in the tree and you can tell she is just in heaven.
Pumpkin Patch 9/20/12 - We went to Tom's Pumpkin Patch in Huntley. Lots of animals and activites - the cutest was the mini ride-on John Deere Tractors. EVERY one of their pumpkins was perfect - I always look for a nice canvas to carve and I always want a good stem - We will be back next year, I think we started a tradition.
