Just a few notes and pics from a busy month.
We kicked off the Holiday Season with a date night at the Service League Dance. My mom was very active in the Service League when I was growing up and I remember my parents going to this dance every year. I think my Dad was pretty happy not to go this year and have Mary for a sleep over instead. We actually had to go buy a tie for Brian and new sparkly top for me - don't we look nice!? :)
The next weekend we went to Breakfast with Santa. Or as I like to call it, the most expensive mini muffins ever. It actually was a nice time, Santa was a good looking guy and we hung out with swim-class buddies Lisa, Adam and George. Mary was so excited when Santa showed up and kept saying "Right there! Santa, right there!" but when it came time to sit on his lap - no thanks! Maybe next year.
Crafts! Mary is getting very creative and I wanted to think of an activity we could do together. I remember growing up making winter-time bird feeders with pine cones, Crisco and bird seed. The Crisco helps the birdies stay fat and warm for winter...that's my excuse, too. I put the Crisco on the pine cones, then Mary rolled them in birdseed. We gave one to Marmee and Grampy, one to Cortney and Ken and hung the other at our house where we can watch the birdies feast while we drink coffee. The crayons have also been out a LOT lately - Mary has colored pictures for relatives for Christmas and we just keep the paper and crayons on the coffee table now for improptu works of art.

Lights! Once again Brian has outdone himself with the exterior illumination - Mary's little house got lights as did our original Christmas tree we brought from California.
Merry Christmas to All!
