'Ohana Jeffries Top 10 for '12

10) Joined a gym - I'm apparently one of those people who can't get motivated on their own. It takes a chunk of money going toward an establishment for me to show up and get my heart rate going. Oh well, I am really happy with the gym we joined and I can't wait to get healthy in 2013

9) Getaway weekend/B&B stay/Staci’s wedding - It really was our only vacation of the year, just a quick trip to St. Louis, a stay at a darling B&B, and a great time and new friends at Staci's wedding. Love, love, love

7) Mary hangs out with her cousins - I think my favorite part of seeing all the cousins together was when Mary offered Meg a pretzel she had been sucking on...and Meg took it with the comment, "Oh, that's nice and soggy, but you're my cousin, so I guess...okay!"

6) Hottest summer ever - Brian really bore the brunt of this. He had to stay home while I went off to my air-conditioned office. Often times hanging out in the air conditioned bedrooms just for some relief. Lots of dips in the wading pool, only cooking outside on the grill...brutal.

5) New Roof - Ah! So nice to get done and get it done well. Such peace of mind!

4) Brynn Gets a new job - Many prayer answered on this one. Such a wonderful feeling to be doing what all of your experience has led to and be compensated fairly...blessings abound!

3) Brian takes to crew to Catalina! - I'm sure he did his fair share of prayers on this one. What an accomplishment to take a crew to a big race the first year they ever paddled a canoe.

2) Visit from Donna - Not many a Californian has braved the trip to the wild Mid-west, but Momma-Donna did it in the coldest month ever for Mary's birthday. Hearty woman.
 
1) Mary turns 1!  - How exciting for me to see my daughter have a birthday in the same community where I grew up. This year she has gone from baby to little girl - The development has been amazing to witness and I love having my parents so close so they can be a part of her life. Even though I have to go to work every day, I feel she has a great team around her while I am not.
